What autograph capsules are

Autograph capsules contain signed stickers of professional players from a CS2 Major. Each sticker shows a player’s signature, and most come in several finishes, from plain paper to Glitter, Holo and Gold. They’re released for every Major, and part of what fans spend on them goes to the players and teams who appear in them.

Older Majors split autographs into several capsules, for example by team or by group (Legends, Challengers, Contenders). Newer events usually put many players into one large capsule, which is why some capsules here hold hundreds or even more than a thousand different stickers.

How they work

Like other capsules, autograph capsules open without a key. You pay for the capsule, open it, and get one sticker. You can apply it to a weapon, keep it, or sell it on the market.

Rarities and odds

Autograph stickers use the same rarities as other stickers: High Grade, Remarkable, Exotic and Extraordinary, with finishes such as Glitter, Holo and Gold at the higher end. Some older capsules contain only one rarity, which means every sticker in them is equally likely.

Valve hasn’t published the odds. The simulator uses the common estimate that each rarity is about five times rarer than the one below. Each capsule page shows the exact numbers used and labels them as an estimate.

What makes an autograph valuable

  • The player. Signatures of legendary players and Major winners are always in demand.
  • The event. Autographs from early Majors are scarce today.
  • The finish. Gold and Holo versions are much rarer than paper ones and usually cost far more.
  • History. A player who later wins a Major or becomes a star can make an old autograph much more valuable.

Each capsule page lists every sticker with today’s price, and the most valuable drops at the top.

Using the simulator

Pick a capsule, open it with play money and see which player you get. Your stickers are saved to the inventory in your browser, where you can see their total value. For team logo stickers from the same events, see sticker capsules; for skins with match stickers applied, see souvenir packages.
